Overview:
The Batanagar Institute of Engineering, Management and
Science (BIEMS) a unit of Batanagar Education & research Trust (Regd.)
promoted and supported by eminent professors, engineers, academicians and
professionals - is located on the south western suburb of Kolkata in Batanagar
(Maheshtala area) West Bengal.
BIEMS is registered as non-profit trust and affiliated with
WBUT. The Institute has already been approved by AICTE and recommended by
Higher Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
BIEMS now offers engineering degree courses in

Electronics & Communication Engineering
(ECE),

Civil Engineering (CE) and Mechanical
Engineering (ME).
The institute would focus on technological, behavioural,
ethical competencies through a value based learning space for both technical
skills and life based values. Moreover, as a knowledge hub the institute will
also be contributing through research and creative activities.
The trustee board and the advisory board have been so
constituted to bridge the widening gap of the academics and the industry. BIEMS
believes that the guidance provided by the professionals in the governing body
and the advisory board would provide the ‘extra edge’ to the graduates to meet
the challenges of industry and hence better career placements.
